The Resort & Chalets

We hand-pick our chalets just for you..

Chalet les Loups

Le Chalet les Loups is one of the oldest chalets in Chatel.

Built in 1949, when ski lifts did not exist in the village, the chalet is now focussed on welcoming groups of friends and family.

Over the past three generations, Les Loups has adapted to modern life where guests can enjoy comfort, space and style.  You will find a mix of authenticity, functionality and luxury in this delightful chalet.

Most of our January courses are here with 10 bedrooms to accommodate up to 16 ladies.  Katie and 2 other instructors will be teaching here.

Chalet les Clarines

Les Clarines is a warm and welcoming chalet full of style and alpine charm. The chalet has been thoughtfully refurbished with an emphasis on quality design and finish, and there’s a feeling of real luxury throughout the entire property.

Clarines is where Katie runs and teaches her smaller groups.  There are 5 gorgeous bedrooms to accommodate up to 6 ladies.

Châtel

..has the envious position as the highest village in the Abondance valley. Sitting on the border of the French & Swiss alps at 1200m, Châtel is surrounded by the craggy peaks of the Dents du Midi with a view over the whole valley.

There are alpine chalets and pine trees everywhere you look – you won’t find any high rise concrete buildings here!   The Town Mairie of Châtel agreed that it was not to be a resort for big tour companies so we are unspoilt by the commercial element of ski resorts.  The village has an old charm atmosphere that is hard to find. Châtel combines its origin of the rustic farming village with now, a world class holiday destination.

Not so secret anymore…

However, Chatel’s tag line has been known as “The Best Kept Secret in the Alps”.  It is located at the outskirts of the Portes du Soleil – arguably the largest ski area in the French/Swiss Alps.  More famous resorts in the domain are Avoriaz and on the far side – Morzine.  Another great advantage is that it is only a 1hr 30 transfer from Geneva Airport.

Great for all levels…

The terrain is expansive and beautiful and most definitely plenty for all levels.  There are superb areas for learning to ski off piste and also pushing yourself to bigger powder areas.  And then we have Super Chatel – a ski area accessed straight out of the village which is fabulous for beginners through to intermediates with its wide and quiet pistes.
